Year 1
This year 1 project was a one-man show, being the creative director, stylist and photographer. Doing it on Adobe Illustrator, I wanted my magazine to have that grungy & punk girl vibes. With the styling you can never miss out on having Dr. Martens pairing it with bold zebra printed top and a simple black pants.
At the same time I had to find models to help complete my digital magazine, doing back to back shoots. I had to get friends to help and I was lucky that it got accepted at the first photoshoot that I presented. But overall I had friends who supported me and helped me out and the digital magazine came out the way I wanted.
HOW IT WENT
I choose them as my reference because of how effortless it looks. The cover models are the main focus of it and their features are greatly emphasized through the black and white and proportion of the image. The focus on their facial expression is important to show the personality or personal brand of the models in the cover.
LAYOUT
I planned to have the dark and punkish look to my whole digital magazine. With the black look from head to toe to biker jackets.
Most images for reference were taken from Korea Fashion Week. Streetstyle images was a huge inspiration to do the same for my magazine.
